About Cookies

Last updated: December 20, 2025

Our website uses cookies. A cookie is a file containing an identifier (a string of letters and numbers) that is sent from a web server to a browser and stored by that browser. The identifier is then sent back to the server each time the browser requests a page from it.

Cookies are used for the following purposes:

  • website functionality,
  • analysis of visitor behavior on the website,
  • advertising.

Types of Cookies

Cookies can be "persistent" cookies or "session" cookies: a persistent cookie will be stored by the browser and will remain valid until its set expiry date, unless it is deleted before the expiry date; on the other hand, a session cookie will expire at the end of the user's session, when the browser is closed.

Cookies do not usually contain information that personally identifies a user, but personal information we store about you may be linked to information stored and obtained through cookies. On our website, we use both persistent and session cookies. The names of the cookies we use on our website and the purposes for which they are used can be found below:

  • We use Google Analytics and Adwords on our website to recognize a computer when a user visits the website / track users as they browse the website / enable the activation of a shopping cart on the website / improve the usability of the website / analyze website usage / administer the website / prevent fraud and improve website security / personalize the website for each user / target advertisements that may be of particular interest to the user;
  • We use Facebook Pixel to display advertisements on social media platforms. Based on your interests shown on www.dailydriven.ro, we create personalized ads that match your interests. All information you provide to us using Facebook will be processed exclusively by us, with one exception: we may put you in touch with another person/company who can help you with your quote request.
  • We use Google Adsense to display advertisements to all users.

Why Are Cookies and Similar Technologies Important for the Internet?

Cookies and similar technologies play an essential role in the efficient functioning of the Internet, contributing to the creation of a personalized browsing experience adapted to each user's preferences and interests. Refusing or disabling cookies may make some websites or certain parts of them difficult to use or even inaccessible.

Disabling cookies does not mean you will no longer receive online advertising, but only that it will no longer be adapted to your preferences and interests, as reflected in your browsing behavior.

Examples of important uses of cookies (without requiring user authentication in an account):

  • Content and services personalized according to user preferences – such as product and service categories.
  • Offers adapted to users' specific interests.
  • Password memorization.
  • Retention of protection settings for content intended for children on the Internet (family mode, safe search functions).
  • Limiting the frequency of ad display – to avoid excessive display of an advertisement to a particular user on a website.
  • Providing advertising relevant to the user.

Measurement, optimization, and adaptation of analytics – for example, confirming a certain level of traffic on a site, identifying the type of content viewed, and how a user arrived at the site (through search engines, direct access, from other sites, etc.). These analytics help websites improve their services for the benefit of users.

Security and Privacy

Most browsers include privacy settings that allow you to configure the level of cookie acceptance, set the validity period, and automatically delete them after visiting a site.

Other security aspects regarding cookies:

  • Customizing browser settings regarding cookies to ensure an adequate level of security according to your preferences.
  • If you are the only user of the computer, you can set long expiration terms to keep browsing history and personal data.
  • If you share access to the computer, you can configure the browser to delete browsing data each time it is closed. This is a solution for accessing sites that use cookies and deleting the information at the end of the session.

Blocking Cookies

Most browsers allow you to refuse to accept cookies – for example: in Internet Explorer (version 10) you can block cookies by overriding cookie handling settings, available by clicking "Tools", "Internet Options", "Privacy", then "Advanced"; in Firefox (version 24) you can block all cookies by clicking "Tools", "Options", "Privacy", selecting "Use custom settings for history" from the dropdown menu, and unchecking "Accept cookies from websites"; and in Chrome (version 29), you can block all cookies by accessing the "Customize and control" menu, clicking "Settings", "Show advanced settings" and "Content settings", then selecting "Block sites from sending any data" under "Cookies". Blocking all cookies will have a negative impact on the usability of many websites.

If you block cookies, you will not be able to use all the features on our website. You can delete cookies already stored on your computer – for example: in Internet Explorer (version 10), you must manually delete cookie files (you can find instructions on how to do this at https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/manage-cookies-in-microsoft-edge-view-allow-block-delete-and-use-168dab11-0753-043d-7c16-ede5947fc64d); in Firefox (version 24), you can delete cookies by clicking "Tools", "Options" and "Privacy", then selecting "Use custom settings for history", clicking "Show cookies", then "Delete all cookies"; in Chrome (version 29), you can delete all cookies by accessing the "Customize and control" menu, clicking "Settings", "Show advanced settings" and "Delete browsing data", then selecting "Delete cookies and other site and plugin data" and clicking "Delete browsing data".

Deleting cookies will have a negative impact on the usability of many websites.
